Bauer Family pays a visit to Ebuhleni Junior Primary to provide help

Ebuhleni Junior Primary school hosted an honorary event last week Thursday for their sponsors who came to visit the school.

Their sponsors are the Bauer Family originally from America and are passionate about being involved in life-changing initiatives to change and better people’s lives.

Their visit to the school forms part of their third tour to Africa and their second visit to the school where they had an oversight of the developments that have been taking place at the school.

The family started making interactions with the school three years ago and have been developing their working relationship ever since then.

As a result, the school Principal Nelisiwe Khoza notified the Bauer family of what the school needs and in response, the family made a donation to the school.

Thus far, the money donated to the school has been used to establish a multipurpose sports facility with netball or basketball goal posts that have been painted to cater for tennis as well.

“Our help to the school doesn’t only end here, because we believe that so much can be done and development is a long-term goal, it doesn’t happen over one project,” said Gary Bauer.

The family first started engaging with the school after they came to Africa to explore the continent and then seeing the need for help.

Gary Bauer then came to Soweto with the intention of exploring the place but soon saw the need to make a commitment towards change.

“I feel that we are well off and it is our Godly responsible for helping those who are struggling because that is the only way we can change the world.

“If more people invested in development, it would make it easier for children to be exposed to life-changing opportunities and also contribute towards making the world a better place”, said Gary Bauer.
