It was all about good food and good music at the Acoustic Reggae sessions held at InsideOut Jazz Lounge in Mofolo, last week Saturday.

This was the first edition of Acoustic Reggae sessions which was themed as a tribute to the late Reggae Master Bob Marley who would have turned 72 on February 6.

The vibrant affair featured both elders and youth in the performance circuit. The stage was graced by the likes of Women on the Move, Tiny Modise, Steven Mlangeni, Agro Sue, Ishmael Diseko, Leslie Mogotsi, Ta Rabz, Thebe Lipere and Mabeleng Moholo, to name a few.

Featured on the deck were Dj Mo Fire and Dj Skado moving the crowd till the early hours of the morning. Lerato Lipere, a specialist in African Cuisine, served the crowd a variety of culinary offerings.

InsideOut Jazz Lounge which was founded by father and daughter team Thebe Lipere and Lerato Lipere is a synagogue for Afrikan music, culture and ways of being.

Thebe Lipere, world renowned percussionist and political activist is the brainchild behind the concept InsideOut.

“As a result of the overwhelmingly positive response to the first edition of Acoustic Reggae sessions, the event is now positioned to take place weekly”, said Nomazulu Taukobong, representative of InsideOut Jazz Lounge.
