Showcasing local talent in Zondi

Digging Thoughts hosted yet another jam session in Zondi 1 last week Sunday at the project’s headquarters.

In this weeks’ edition of the event, the organisation featured four local artists, three of which made their first appearances on the show.

In the show, Urban Village from Mzimhlope played the drums while Skado from Protea played the guitar.

To bring a different feel to the event, Brothers in Movement graced the event with poetry that was accompanied by a solo drum.

Komkane also features on the line-up as a resident rapper and vocalist with Sun-Xa Experiment made their debut appearance at the show with their African fusing of jazz played with traditional instruments.

“A new feature that we had was a drawing and visual arts display by Mbongiseni Msomi from Newcastle.

“The artist drew children playing as and when it happened and included that in his collection for display and for me that put a cherry on top,” said Lerato Mokoena, the event organizer.
